Studs to Rugs
Dreaming big gives one man the company he
always wanted
by Alison Streyle – Communications Intern
With a quickly growing company, Tim Rosene, owner of Studs to Rugs, has consistently shown great passion for the industry.
When talking about how he first decided to start the company, he says, “I saw a need to help families finish their lower levels and build equity into their home while adding more usable living space.
Today, he’s proud to say that he has recently hired three new employees and the company is doing great.
Studs to Rugs, founded in 2008, began as a basement framing and finishing company. Rosene arranges the plumbing, electrical and all other services that would need to be involved.
Rosene asked his friends and family to help him find a name that would suit his business. His mother called him late one night and said, “How about ‘Studs to Rugs?’ You do everything from the studs all the way to the carpet.” Rosene thought it was perfect. “I give her all the credit,” he says.
Today, Studs to Rugs has grown to specialize in bathroom and kitchen remodeling, garage finishing and window replacement.
Prior to his work in the building industry, Rosene was an aircraft mechanic for 15 years. He admits to always liking building and, even during those 15 years, he was constantly helping friends and family do remodeling projects.
Rosene puts a lot of emphasis on customer service and says that listening to the needs and wants of his customers is the most important factor when it comes to success. He works hard to always make himself available to each and every customer, which is what sets his business apart from others.
According to Rosene, the main reason for the business’ success in a tight economy is the highest quality and the most exceptional customer service all at very affordable prices.
“We are offering the best value, the highest quality, and the most exceptional customer service,” he says.
No matter which way the economy may turn, Rosene will continue to be dedicated to his career.
He says, “The best feeling is when we take something old and transform it to look brand new.”
He also enjoys the variety of work that goes hand in hand with the building industry. There is always a new project and a new design waiting just around the corner.
His favorite project, to date, is a pergola his company built in Moorhead in June. It is 24 feet wide, 18 feet long and each beam weighs 400+ pounds. It took five people to get the beams on top of the posts. To see pictures, visit www.studstorugs.com.
Although Rosene is relatively new in the industry, he is
living his dream and has some advice for those out there
who also have big goals in life: “Follow your dreams and
prepare physically and mentally to work hard. Never let
anyone tell you that you can’t achieve your dreams.”
